Rio Celeste Waterfall Tour drive takes you to the highlands of Bijagua, the scenic beauty of the place increases as you approach the park; in addition to the landscapes of the farms, lush green mountains, and small towns where you will pass, they are authentic portraits of the true Guanacaste. Once in the park, our first hike will take us through primary and secondary forests until we reach the renowned 65 feet waterfall and its sky-colored water. Here you can relax for a few minutes listening and observing the sound of nature while our guides explain to you the color of its waters.
Later the second part of the Rio Celeste Waterfall Tour will take you through the rain forest and muddy trails, where you will observe some of the Tenorio Volcano activity, such as boiling water and sulfur steam, in addition to an incredible view where you can see the turquoise water lagoons.
Finally, you will arrive at Los Teñideros, a magical place where you can observe the waters of the Buena Vista and Roble rivers getting together and turning their waters into a turquoise color due to the concentration of minerals.
The last part of the Rio Celeste Waterfall Tour will take you to a botanical garden where you can observe many sloths. It is also possible to find blue jeans, red-eye frogs, toucans, monkeys, and different bird species. Once you finish the tour, you will enjoy a delicious typical lunch.
