The Rafting Colorado River and Zip Lines Tour is made near the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano in Guanacaste and just a few kilometers outside of Liberia city. This is the perfect adventure to experience whitewater rafting for about 90 minutes and later enjoy the canopy treetop experience on fantastic zip lines, all in one day.
Rafting Colorado River starts driving you near the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, where everything occurs. Once at the operation center, you will prepare with the safety equipment before beginning the 10-minute drive to the riverbank, where the tour starts. You will use the safest equipment, helmets, and life vests. This rafting experience is perfect for small kids and families.
Once you are on the go, you will enjoy a fantastic experience along the river canyon. Rafting on the Colorado River takes you on a 3-kilometer adventure with amazing landscapes and rapids, and it lasts approximately one hour. For your security, you will always travel with a personal guide in your ducky (inflatable boat). The Rafting Colorado River Tour can offer you rapids class II and sometimes class III, depending on the weather conditions.
The Canopy Tour takes you through the stunning river canyon, where you will enjoy breathtaking landscapes as you glide across the tropical dry forest. The tour offers a chance to observe some of the local flora and fauna, including howlers and white-faced monkeys, and is also perfect for enjoying with children and family.
This is why the zip line tour is mixed with footpaths, observation platforms, and hanging bridges to obtain a unique experience. You can also enjoy the rappelling and rock climbing experience to put some extra adrenaline into the tour.
The Canopy Tour features 9 zip lines and 14 platforms, spanning 8 times the width of the Colorado River with a total length of 1,106 meters. Once you finish your adventure time, you can relax in some of the hot springs, take a mud bath, or jump in the river and refresh yourself. Finally, you will enjoy a delicious lunch before returning to your hotel.
