Guanacaste Nature Expedition is a full-day adventure that explores some of the natural treasures of the Guanacaste province. You will visit the Las Pumas Animal Refuge, Llanos del Cortes Waterfalls, and the Botanical Garden, where you can see many sloths and toucans, as well as a butterfly garden.

The Guanacaste Nature Expedition is a perfect adventure for those who want to observe local wildlife and enjoy an authentic natural experience. The expedition starts driving early in the morning driving you with directions to the cities of Liberia and Bagaces; the first stop will be at Los Llanos del Cortez waterfalls, 35ft. high and 45ft. wide, with an incredible swimming pool to enjoy and relax in the middle of nature.

Later, our Guanacaste Nature Expedition continues with a short drive to the town of Cañas. Here, you will visit the Animal Refuge, this place is where you can observe rescued monkeys, toucans, parrots, deer, jaguars, pumas, ocelots, macaws, and other species of animals.

For the last, Guanacaste Nature Expedition will take you to the foothills of the Tenorio Volcano. The drive takes you to the highlands of Bijagua, the scenic beauty of the place is impressive, with the views of the Miravalles and Tenorio volcanoes.  In addition to the landscapes of the farms and small towns where you will pass, they are authentic portraits of the true Guanacaste. 

There you will enjoy hiking through rainforest trails to discover the fantastic wildlife of the area, including a significant number of sloths; also, here, you can observe red eyes and blue jeans frogs as well a considerable number of birds and toucans. You can also see ferns, rainforest trees, and exotic plants.
